Nice apartment in quiet area near Vatican city with wonderful breakfast!

We were met on arrival and got a full tour of the apartment and common spaces. She also gave us a map telling us places to visit and recommended a few restaurants and gelato places. The apartment was on the 4th floor but had an elevator (our first in Italy). The apartment was located close to Vatican city and also close to subway and bus lines. Several nearby groceries, pastry shops, and restaurants that were very convenient. We also visited two of the restaurants they recommended and they were both very good and reasonably priced. The real highlight was breakfast. There were two Filipino people working in the breakfast area and the breakfast was fantastic - eggs, juice, pastry... The breakfast area was a nice area too - on top of the building.

Charming and comfortable stay with a great hospitality and a solid breakfast - the perfect home base

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Martini. Gianluca was a generous and attentive host, from the time we booked until the moment we departed for the train station. He helped w/ transportation arrangements, pointed out great local restaurants to try, and was basically our "Rome insider" during our 3 night stay - incredibly helpful given this was our first family visit to Rome. The property is charming, private and inconspicuous, yet in a great location near a Metro station, some wonderful dining options, and of course, close to great Gelato (try Lemongrass). It's also walking distance to the Vatican, which allowed us to make a few impromptu return visits. The room itself was spacious, with two separate sleeping areas, a modern and clean bathroom, and plenty of space to spread out, unpack and relax in between adventures. The breakfast upstairs on the balcony was special - made-to-order egg dishes, cold cuts, coffee, juice, fresh croissants baked in the shop downstairs, a nice selection of yogurts, and more. We definitely recommend Gianluca and Casa Martini, and would definitely return on a future visit.

Can't think of much - perhaps a bit more variety at breakfast, but it was tasty and of high quality so that's really not a complaint.

Fantastic family vacation spot, wonderful staff!

Very cozy, clean and perfectly located near the center. Great hospitality and a super helpful staff. Gianluca and his staff (Lizat) were always available and ready to help! it was a memorable stay for the whole family!

Это небольшой семейный отель, располагается на верхнем этаже, пяти этажного обычного римского многоэтажного дома. Мы проживали в двух местном номере с видом на улицу, напротив был военный объект, не высокое здание, поэтому окна не упирались в противоположный дом. Сам отель хоть и небольшой, но очень уютный, в нашем номере был маленький холодильник и кофе машина (капсульная), в общественной зоне отеля, так же можно было сделать чай с сахаром и там же лежат запасные капсулы для кофе машины. Сами хозяева очень дружелюбные и если их нет в отеле, то они всегда на связи и готовы помочь в любом вопросе, начиная от достопримечательностей Рима и тем что Вы хотите есть на завтрак. Завтрак это отдельная тема, помещение располагается на крыше, большая классная крыша, где так же можно курить и отдохнуть на свежем воздухе. Завтрак мы брали английский: омлет или яичница, прошуто, сыр, джем, йогурт, тостеры, хлеб, масло, сок, чай, кофе, курасаны, фрукты (апельсины, киви, яблоки). Джанлука интересуется, что Вы хотите на завтрак и старается это сделать, конечно без фуа-гра и других деликатесов. Кстати, воду можно пить из-под крана, на улицах так же есть колонки, где течёт постоянно вода, мы пили, всё было нормально. Очень удобная локация до Ватикана, пешком до входа в музей минут 5 и до храма св. Петра минут 7. Из общественного транспорта рядом есть метро и трамвайная остановка. Нам очень понравилось в данном отеле, в следующий раз мы знаем, где нам остановиться в Риме ! ! !

Давление воды в душе было маленьким, но мыться можно. Матрас на кровати был явно 1,90м при моём росте более 1,90м это ощущалось, ноги висели в воздухе, приходилось ложиться по диагонали.

Comfortable family hotel at awesome location

Casa Martini is a great family-run small hotel/B&B. Because it's small, it doesn't have the amenities of a large hotel (no pool, gym, super-elaborate breakfast, etc). That said, the rooms are clean and comfortable, including the beds and shower, with good wifi and good sound-proofing against street noise. There's a cute breakfast room at the roof in which an eggs to your liking-toast-cold cuts-croissant-drinks-fruit breakfast is served. There's also a small common kitchen with complementary tea and cookies as well as a small library. The staff is great: the breakfast staff remembered our preferences, and owner Gianluca communicates quickly and clearly. He was also very helpful in advising on tourist attractions and pointing out the best walking routes. One of the best things about Casa Martini is its location. It's a mere 10 min. walk from the Vatican (we hung out at St Peter's square quite a bit, great spot to watch people), and right next to metro stop Ottaviano, which really adds to your mobility. As everywhere in Rome, there are numerous good restaurants nearby.

Casa Martini is on the fourth (top) floor of a non-descript building which from the outside does not indicate there's a hotel inside. We arrived late at night and given that there is no sign of Casa Martini at the outside of the building, we really wondered if we were at the right place. For future guests: there's a sign for the British school at a ground-floor window and a 24/7 bakery right next door (staircase going down from street level; awesome little store, we recommend the pesto rice balls). The entrance to Casa Martini is the main big brown double doors. Inside, go right to the elevator, 4th floor, and right again out of the elevator.

Italian dream

from start to finish this was the best stay. they had wonderful little touches with the most fabulously decorated room. they had a lovely kitchen where you could help yourself to tea and biscuits. the breakfast was divine with fresh croissants fruit eggs bacon bread yoghurts. the staff couldn’t have been nicer. I didn’t have the right travel converter and they helped me right out. they have a map of all the places in the city including recommendations for the most fabulous meals. the location was 10 mins from the Vatican and you could even sit out on their terrace and soak in the lovely sun. couldn’t fault this property. the beds were so comfortable too. Will definitely be back.

Perfect place to stay in Rome

Very nice B&B. Big room, nicely decorated. Good bathroom. Bed was good. Hosts were great. Great breakfast and location perfect.

A few hooks for towels would be nice.

Great place, at a practical location.

Getting a nice place that works for families is hard, and Casa Martini fits this (we had a room for 4). It was great to have a "personalised" breakfast, not the usual buffet stuff. Unless you plan to cook, it's a better option than an AirBnB in Rome, less hassle.

Would have been nice to have more interesting jams at breakfast.

Great place to stay in Rome.

Big rooms, great location, very near to the Vatican, very helpful staff. Our room key was stolen from our car late at night when we were outside. But that was no big problem. Gianluca gave us immediately new keys such that we could further enjoy our stay in Rome.

There is no private parking space. You have to park on the street. But there are enough places free. We always found a place right beside the location.

A perfect 4-night stay

Perfect location, near Ottaviano subway station and 10 minutes from St-Peter's square by foot. We walked to most places. Breakfast on the roof was very good and copious. The host was kind, welcoming and very helpful. He gave us advice to plan our visits and a lot of good addresses for restaurants.

Everything was perfect.
